MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg

Since September 2012, MHP has not only given its name to the MHPArena, but has also been a partner of the Bundesliga basketball team MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg - the home team of the MHPArena.

We are very proud of the successes and our entire MHP RIESEN team.

In its first season as a premium partner, MHP has been the main sponsor and name provider of the MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg since the 2013/2014 season. MHP did not "only" want to give the arena a name, but also support the home team of the MHP Arena with its commitment to the MHP RIESEN. In this way, MHP is revitalizing the arena at its main location in Ludwigsburg and offering "excellent team players" a great home venue.

Basketball, with its attributes of dynamism, passion, team spirit and fair play, is a very good fit for a consulting company and especially for MHP's corporate philosophy. In addition, the arena name sponsorship in conjunction with the partnership of the 1st Bundesliga home team represents an excellent platform to support the communication goals. MHP is enthusiastic and wants to do its part to inspire others as well. For this reason, MHP has continuously developed its commitment together with Porsche AG - which strategically supports the youth/young talent area with the "Porsche Basketball Academy". We are all looking forward to many more exciting games in the MHPArena and a successful season for the MHP RIESEN.

The MHP RIESEN have reached the playoffs of the best eight teams in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) seven times in the last eight years. In the process, the 2019/2020 season was among the most successful in the RIESEN club history. Due to the pandemic, the main round had to be cancelled - in which the MHP RIESEN team already sensationally finished 2nd - and a BBL final tournament was played in Munich. Here, the RIESEN team continued its success story and reached the final of the German Basketball Championship for the first time in the club's history after outstanding play-off games, in the quarter-finals against FC Bayern Basketball and in the semi-finals against Ratiopharm Ulm. In this, the RIESEN team lost to Alba Berlin after a great fight and became outstanding German basketball runner-up.

And the 2020/2021 season was also something very special. Our MHP RIESEN team sensationally won the main round of the BBL for the first time in the club's history and was able to achieve an excellent 3rd place at the end of the season after a great playoff win in the quarterfinals against Brose Bamberg and a narrow playoff loss in the semifinals against FC Bayern Basketball.

In addition, our team provides the best player of the season for the second time in a row (MVP 2019/2020 Marcos Knight and MVP 2020/2021 Jaleen Smith) and also with our Head Coach John Patrick, the coach of the year.

In addition to the sporting commitment (professional and junior teams), MHP also supports social projects together with the RIESEN, such as "Give racism a basket" and "Assist".
