Privacy Notice for Our Guest Wi-Fi

It is the declared aim of the MHP Group to ensure a responsible handling of personal data in all activities. With this privacy notice, we inform you about the processing of your personal data and your privacy rights.

2. Subject of Data Protection

The subject of data protection is personal data. This includes all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (the so-called data subject).

3. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing, Categories of Recipients

We process your personal data while you are using our Guest Wi-Fi.

The processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract or for pre-contractual measures pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The relevant contract arises from the stated purpose of processing. Additionally, we store your usage data for the purpose of information security on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 32 GDPR.

As part of providing Guest Wi-Fi, employees within MHP gain access to your personal data. Access is restricted to those individuals who require it for the purposes mentioned above.

4. Data Transfer to Third Countries

If the recipients mentioned under section 3 are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA) in so-called third countries, we ensure before any data transfer that an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed at the recipient through appropriate safeguards in accordance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, or that we have obtained your consent for the transfer.

5. Duration of Storage and Deletion of Data

We store your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected (unless another legal basis applies).

Beyond this period, your data is only stored in accordance with statutory requirements arising from laws, regulations, or other legal provisions of the European Union or its Member States. In consideration of the purpose of processing and legal retention periods, your processed personal data will be deleted after 400 days.

6. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

We do not conduct any automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

7. Rights of Data Subjects

You may exercise your right to access, rectification, objection, and deletion of your data at any time. Please contact us by email at info(at)mhp.com or in writing at the above address.

If you request deletion of your data but we are legally required to retain it, access to your data will be restricted. You may also exercise your right to data portability, provided the technical requirements are available at the receiving party and at our end.

8. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable law.
