MHP receives once again Allianz Industry 4.0 Award
- With bolt_it, management and IT consultancy MHP wins the Allianz Industry 4.0 Award
- The AI solution checks and optimizes screwdriving processes in assembly
- Proven added value of bolt_it in process optimization
Ludwigsburg – Bolting processes are among the core safety-related processes in the automotive industry and are a decisive factor in product quality. In collaboration with Porsche, management and IT consultancy MHP developed the solution bolt_it with the aim of monitoring bolting data using AI and optimizing processes in a targeted manner.
The jointly developed approach also impressed the jury of this year's Allianz Industry 4.0 Award Baden-Württemberg. They selected the bolt_it initiative as one of the 28 best projects in the “Winner” category. The official award ceremony took place on November 5, 2025, as part of the “STARTUP THE FUTURE” event in Stuttgart.
Dr Jochen Mall, Senior Manager Product at MHP, said: “We are delighted to receive this award for our joint project with Porsche. It proves that we can transform the quality management process in manufacturing with AI-based QM tools such as bolt_it.”
Industry 4.0 with measurable benefits
The awards are generally presented in two categories: “Excellence” for holistic digitization strategies and “Winner” – as in the case of MHP – for outstanding individual Industry 4.0 solutions. The decisive criteria for the jury are, in particular, the market relevance and degree of innovation of the submitted solution.
The jury was particularly impressed by the fact that bolt_it combines a smart concept with clearly measurable benefits. The software detects process anomalies and can assign them to specific categories. Based on these findings, efficiency potential can be realized in a targeted manner, for example, to optimize manual analyses by technical experts. Initial simulations have shown that around 90 minutes of working time can be saved each week for manual data analysis and parameter optimization (per production line). According to current knowledge, automated error detection is thus around seven times more accurate than conventional methods.
With bolt_it, MHP impressively demonstrates how data-driven applications are already noticeably improving industrial manufacturing today and how innovation arises from collaborative partnerships.
