Companies with their own vehicle fleets, as well as car hire and leasing firms – such fleet operators have a great interest in using vehicle data in a meaningful way. For with data, processes can be automated and costs saved. However, the generation and use of vehicle data are neither easy nor cheap. On the one hand, retrofit solutions are expensive and the data provided are only limited. On the other hand, pre-installed IT solutions of the OEMs provide data only in proprietary data systems that are incompatible with each other. Comprehensive access to data thus becomes a huge challenge for fleet operators. The use of data can hardly be shown in an economical way.
MHP, together with TÜV Rheinland, is therefore developing a platform on which the data of vehicles of various OEMs are merged and evaluated. MHP aggregates and homogenizes the data from OEMs and, using analytics, visualizes them for fleet operators. TÜV Rheinland ensures certified and monitored data protection, as well as a high level of data security on the platform. For the operators of fleets, not only the condition of their vehicles becomes transparent with this platform. They are also able to implement data-based services.
