API Management and Integration Platforms

How you can accelerate digitalization projects

Many digitalization projects in companies fail because of long development times and rising costs. This is the fault of historically developed and heterogeneous system landscapes in which in part obsolete technologies interwoven with various applications are used. The problem is mostly the countless data interfaces (APIs). Many of the persons responsible must become involved in newly established processes in order to access relevant data. Owing to these complex dependencies, digitalization projects are very expensive.

With an API management and the use of an integration platform, companies achieve greater transparency concerning existing business objects and obtain standardized access to all data and process information. By linking the individual systems to an integration platform, integration points are reduced, interfaces are used multiple times and complexity decreases. Both measures, API management and integration platforms, transform a gradually developed heterogeneous system landscape into a modular landscape that offers re-usable services. In this process, outdated technologies can be replaced more easily and new business models developed by means of structured APIs.

In our MHPDeepDive "API Management and Integration Platforms", we will show you methods and approaches for faster implementation of digitalization projects in companies. We will present the vision of a system architecture that can convert any legacy systems into a modern IT architecture. In addition, you will learn about the advantages of such a system architecture, and find out how business cases can be designed with our approaches.

What awaits you in our MHPDeepDive:

  • We will show you how digitalization projects can be implemented faster and more efficiently with API management and integration platforms.
  • We will present examples of how an architecture can be converted to a modern IT architecture with legacy systems.
  • You will find out how the complexity of the system landscape can be reduced and the re-usability increased, and how new business models can be developed by means of structured APIs.
