Ludwigsburger Digitalisierungsgespräche

"ChatGPT & Co.: Opportunities and Risks for Administration and Society"

On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the "2nd Ludwigsburger Digitalisierungsgespräche" will be held virtually. This event, organized by the Hochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung und Finanzen Ludwigsburg (HVF), provides a platform for representatives from politics, administration, business, and science to exchange knowledge. It is aimed at HVF members, employees of administrations at various levels, media representatives, business practitioners and academics. The theme of the upcoming event focuses on current developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

Thanks to ChatGPT and the considerable investments of major tech companies, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) has gained special attention. Although the term and theory of artificial intelligence have been known for many decades, the technology is experiencing a huge boom thanks to affordable supercomputers. MHP expert Dr. Oliver Kelkar will precisely address this topic in his opening statement of the discussion forum "ChatGPT & Co.: Opportunities and risks for administration and society".

Find out what opportunities exist in the use of chatbots such as ChatGPT for business, science and administration. You will also learn more about how ChatGPT helps to eliminate the shortage of skilled workers, what progress can be expected in science and where such AI solutions are used in administration. In addition to the opportunities, the downsides such as the sustainability of AI, questions of ethics and equality will also be discussed.
