Lantern parade lights up the MHP Arena Stuttgart

Ludwigsburg/Stuttgart – “I walk with my lantern and my lantern with me” – that was the song being sung again this year during the big lantern parade in Stuttgart’s Neckarpark. The young participants paraded through the streets of Stuttgart on November 10 with their eyes lit up as they held countless colorful lanterns. The route once again took them from the Mercedes-Benz Museum and past VfB Stuttgart’s training grounds, culminating in a colorful sea of lights in the legendary Cannstatt Curve of the MHP Arena – an unforgettable moment every year for young and old alike. For the third time, the Mercedes-Benz Museum, together with VfB Stuttgart, the Fritzle Club, Luftballon parents’ magazine, and the radio station DIE NEUE 107.7, invited visitors to the traditional lantern procession.

Little lights, big joy

The starting signal for the parade was given by the DONIKKL Crew, a sing- and dance-along band, on the hill outside the Mercedes-Benz Museum. Also in attendance were the mascots Fritzle from VfB Stuttgart, Carlotta from the Mercedes-Benz Museum, and Luftikus from Luftballon magazine. Accompanied by Bad Cannstatt Music Society, the 8,000 children and their parents marched toward the finishing point with great excitement. The warmly lit MHP Arena and the singing of popular lantern songs generated a special atmosphere for all visitors. The program was presented by stadium announcer Holger Laser and the radio station DIE NEUE 107.7. Once again this year, the organizers created memorable moments that brought people together.
