Reliable translations for SAP systems thanks to MHP!

MHP launches new version of its add-on Translation Manager

Freiberg a. N., 26.04.2011 – Translating SAP systems into other languages is often very time consuming with the SAP standard; it is also easy to lose track of things. For this reason, the process and IT consultancy company, Mieschke Hofmann und Partner (MHP), developed the SAP-based add-on Translation Manager and is now introducing the second version onto the market. The tool initially collects all the terms, which are stored in the system, and exports them into an Excel file. Using the fit/gap analysis, you can also determine which translations already exist, due to the fact they are covered by the existing SAP standard texts or because individual terms have already been translated. The missing terms can now be entered into the Excel list by one or several translators. Finally, the completed Excel file is reimported into the SAP system by means of the Translation Manager. All the terms are stored in a central database and are thus available at any time.

The new version of the add-on also offers some additional functions. It is, for example, possible to directly connect the Translation Manager to external translation tools and thus further speed up the data exchange. In addition, a fit/gap analysis can now be simultaneously carried out for several languages. A special and automated search makes it easier to find language-dependent tables – for example material master files – in the system. The user can thus select the fields from the shown tables, which should also be exported into the Excel file for the translators.
