Presentation of new MHPArena logo and further details on naming rights sponsorship

Ludwigsburg. It has been known since the end of August that the Arena Ludwigsburg will be renamed due to the new sponsorship deal with MHP. At the press conference on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, Werner Spec, Mayor of the city of Ludwigsburg and Dr. Ralf Hofmann, Chairman of the MHP Executive Board announced more details on the joint commitment.

The MHPArena will, in future, also be used for MHP events, explained Dr. Ralf Hofmann. Recruiting events, employee events or even their own sport events are envisaged here. The fact that the arena is already known nationwide as an event location is another plus point for MHP. The level of awareness with regard to MHP will further increase not only in the region but also nationally due to having the namings rights for the arena.

The new logo, which will adorn the MHPArena from October 3, 2012 and thus right on time for the first official match of the home team, the "Neckar Riesen Ludwigsburg", was presented by Ingo Guttenson, MHP Marketing Manager. The MHP logo will be retained for the MHPArena logo, solely the word "arena" will be added. Mayor Spec described the logo as innovative and modern. The illuminated letters of the MHPArena logo will be visibile at two locations on the MHPArena roof as well as over the main entrance area. The MHPArena itself will be discreetly modified and the MHP "blue" will be present in some areas.

From September, 2012, MHP will also be a business partner of the Neckar RIESEN Ludwigsburg for a period of 2 years. MHP is thus a premium sponsor, which is second highest sponsoring level. As a new premium sponsor, MHP will advertise via, amongst other things, advertising boards at the edge of the court and floor advertising at both ends of the court. MHP will also exclusively hold a monthly fan voting competition where fans can interactively vote for their Neckar RIESEN MVP of the month and win great prizes.

"We didn't 'only' want to give the arena our name, rather also support the home team of MHPArena, i.e. the Neckar RIESEN, in order to further revitalise the arena. Basketball with its attributes -  dynamism, passion and team spirit - fits very well with a consultancy firm and our corporate philosophy. The naming rights sponsorship for the arena, together with the partnership with the Beko Basketball Bundesliga team, represent an excellent platform for supporting our communication targets. We are delighted and look forward to doing our bit to help others get the same thrill. This is why we decided to expand our commitment and look forward to inspiring games in the MHPArena, says Dr. Ralf Hofmann, Chairman of the MHP Executive Board.

With the additional commitment to the home team in the MHPArena, i.e. the Neckar RIESEN, the level of awareness of MHP will also increase at universities. Basketball, as a university sport, offers MHP the ideal platform to get across its very good image as an appealing employer to highly qualified university students and graduates.
