MHP RIESEN looking good for the playoffs!


The MHP RIESEN are, after a successful start to the second part of the season, in a good position to book their spot in the playoffs.

Mieschke Hofmann und Partner became the naming sponsor of the MHPArena in 2012. MHP further increased its commitment to the "cause" by also becoming -since the start of the current season (2013/2014) - the main sponsor and naming sponsor of the Beko Basketball Bundesliga team MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg. The home team of the MHPArena has rewarded this commitment with a good top mid-table position.

After a difficult season last year, the Ludwigsburg Bundesliga club are back to winning ways. The MHP RIESEN are currently in 8th position in the standings after a convincing win - in the first game after the winter break - over the Beko Basketball Bundesliga newcomers RASTA VECHTA. The home team of the MHPArena has thus, for the time being, booked their place in the playoffs.

The fans are also showing their appreciation for the team's improved performances: The attendance at the home games in the first half of the season at the MHPArena have been the highest ever! With 78% of the seats being sold out, 3,509 fans have, on average, been present per match to cheer on the MHP RIESEN at this year's home games. This figure exceeds the previous record set in the 2009/2010 season (3,230 per home game) by almost 300 fans per game. The  MHPArena was, with - in each case - over 4,000 fans almost sold out for the top games against Bayern München and the Brose Baskets as well as the local derby against the Walter Tigers Tübingen.
