Overcoming the hurdles in the transformation to the smart factory
AGVs, drones and robots – When we think of a smart factory, we first think of the spectacular technological innovations. These are, of course, important and make a significant contribution to the digitalization and automation of processes on the shop floor. However, in order to really create a smart factory, much more is needed: A holistic view is decisive. And not just for production alone. This means: Top floor and shop floor must move closer together.
This succeeds best if top management assumes the role of pace-setter for the digital transformation and considers the theme of the smart factory across all levels. In this regard, we have identified five dimensions: Cooperation, change, culture, capabilities and competition. With these five Cs, the successful transformation to a sustainable smart factory can be achieved.
In our MHPDeepDive "Transforming Top Floor, Accelerating Shop Floor", we will illustrate the central findings from the white paper of the same name. We will present in greater detail the five specific C dimensions that lead to a successful transformation. We will explain why it is now important to make the topic of the smart factory the responsibility of top management. And we will share with you our key learnings that we have taken away from numerous customer projects.
What awaits you in our MHPDeepDive:
- We will present the central findings from the white paper "Transforming Top Floor, Accelerating Shop Floor".
- We will show how you can implement a smart factory transformation on the basis of five dimensions.
- You will find out how setting up a smart factory succeeds in practice.
