Production in the context of IoT and Industry 4.0
The level of digitalization is continuously increasing - including in production. Workpieces recognize their own state and automatically organize the next processing step, select the processing location and request the required resources. This is now no longer just a vision, but already a reality on some shop floors.
Many different players are involved in these new, networked systems. The prerequisite is therefore a holistic architecture which can reliably process massive quantities of data while also taking security aspects into account at the same time. The transition from the current situation to Shopfloor 4.0 will be the key task of the future.
At our MHPPitstop „Shopfloor 4.0“, we will demonstrate how this transition can be implemented successfully based on the example of the automotive industry.
This MHPpitstop will be concerned with the following themes, among others:
- Definition: What is Shopfloor 4.0?
- Composition: What elements does a Shopfloor 4.0 consist of?
- Implementation: How can a Shopfloor 4.0 be implemented?
