Roadmap for an IoT transformation

Consistent IoT solutions

Many companies have already realized IoT use cases. That's the good news. The bad news is: The IoT technologies used as a rule depict very clearly defined scenarios, though to not support processes consistently, and also do not systematically contribute to vertical or horizontal integration. Thus, for example, machines and plants are equipped with sensors. However, the data recorded are not used optimally in order, for example, to implement predictive maintenance. The fact that companies eschew a holistic approach is, firstly, due to the strategic and technological complexity of the IoT: In view of the many possibilities, it is not always easy to recognize which decisions are appropriate, and which correlations ought to be taken into consideration. Secondly, investments – also on account of the complexity – can be calculated only with difficulty. The return on investment remains vague.

If companies want to use the full potential of the IoT for themselves and at the same time minimize risk, they should learn to master the existing complexity. In concrete terms, this means: They should formulate objectives, then obtain an overview of the relevant aspects, take conscious decisions and implement them one after the other. This will succeed with the MHP IoT SubWay roadmap.

In our MHPDeepDive "Roadmap for an IoT transformation", we will familiarize you with the MHP IoT SubWay road map and show you how you can use it in your company. In addition, we will explain the fundamentals of networked production and say which factors for success should be taken into consideration.

What awaits you in our MHPDeepDive:

  • You will find out how to master the complex topic of IoT
  • You will learn how to create a practical roadmap for the IoT transformation
  • You will be shown the principles for networked production
