Many companies are continuously optimizing their planning. Technology is generally the driver: With IT the aim is to reduce the time and effort involved in planning and thus increase efficiency. Technical aspects such as processes, KPIs, or value drivers generally take second place. This technology focus has intensified in recent years because innovations are available at increasingly shorter intervals.
