Climate protection, the ever-changing energy situation, legal regulations with regard to sustainability, the increasing demand for transport services are just some examples, which illustrate the importance of the success factor that is transport logistics – and this on a global scale!

The transport demand of the automotive sector is constantly increasing, in part due to the constant economic growth of recent months. The increasing global demand for transport services is also due to the general economic growth in other sectors. The globally active transport logistics sector has, as a result, had to face up to the challenge of further optimising the available capacities in order to be able to handle the increased demand in a timely, cost and quality efficient manner.
All market partners must cooperate is order to achieve this goal!
Integrated business processes between manufacturers, logistics service providers as well as suppliers are particularly important in this connection. The integration of these is inconceivable nowadays without supporting IT solutions!
The forum will serve as an open discussion and information platform for ideas, solution approaches and integration projects. Your active participation is requested!

Solutions based on the new standard software SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) release 8.0, which is available since July 2011, will, amongst other things, be presented. The solution facilitates the integration of OEMs and suppliers based on SAP ERP with logistic service providers and forwarders. The result should be a clear increase in the efficiency, as the integration supports the overall process – starting from folder management, via planning, subcontracting incl. tendering to the settlement of the freight receipts.

The aim of this event is to become even better –
with your ideas, proposals, with examples and best practices from independent speakers and solution providers.
