Achieving cost targets – from wishful thinking to reality!

Results from a carried out study within the scope of the consistent MHPprocess model in product cost management will, in particular, be presented. The focus, in this connection, will be cost engineering and the associated use of cost and benefit influencing methods (e.g. variant management, target costing, conjoint analysis etc.) in the product development process. Approaches for achieving ambitious targets as well as optimizing the relationship between product costs and customer benefits will also be discussed.
