The special MHPDeepDive on Digital Day 2020
Sustainability: How can artificial intelligence (AI) help now?
As a worldwide operating, leading management and IT consulting company in the areas of mobility and manufacturing, with this MHPDeepDive MHP has created a recognized and long-term successful digital format. MHPexperts will share their expertise in a weekly rhythm – in the form of online webinars – with customers, industry experts and other interested parties. They will provide space for new impulses and an exchange of ideas and discussions, as well as examine current and relevant topics in depth.
On the occasion of the Digital Day 2020, in our special MHPDeepDive we will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), its relevance for climate change and the potential positive effects.
For it's clear to us that, in order to meet current challenges as well and as flexibly as possible, new approaches are required. The rising sea level, the increasing forest fires in the Amazon region and the intensive drought periods worldwide are not only threatening our plants, animals and fresh water supplies, they are also having a major impact on economic and social conditions around the world. But can AI make a contribution to the national and international environmental challenges? Answers are desperately needed and are already long overdue.
To fight climate change, the hopes of many lie in the replacement of old technologies with new, progressive and innovative solutions. Although this naturally sounds promising, the rapid introduction of new technologies in all industries is in most cases unfortunately impossible and must not be underestimated. But is it necessary to re-invent the wheel every time?
In our MHPDeepDive, our MHPexperts will explain which AI applications are useful with regard to sustainability and examine the positive effects that may result. For example, AI can support the better understanding of complex systems such as the climate and the various ecological systems, and enormously reduce environmental impacts arising from applications in the area of mobility, energy and agriculture. In addition, AI has the potential to smooth the path to a low-carbon power network in which even the topic of energy recovery in computing centers plays a part.
