Visit the "12th Automotive Industry Day" with MHP as a strategic partner and exhibitor.
The Minister President of Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann, and the Chairman of Porsche AG Board of Management, Matthias Müller will, amongst others, be discussing the future of the automobile at this year's "Automotive Industry Day" (IFA/Prof. Willi Diz) on October 19 in Nürtingen, Germany.
The opening speech of Minister President Kretschmann will be on the topic "Green mobility - an opportunity for German automobile production". Matthias Müller will subsequently present growth strategies in the automotive industry in his keynote speech. In a joint discussion, both speakers will then provide their views on the future of the automobile and automotive industry.
The "12th Automotive Industry Day" is, this year, organised under the motto: "Growth strategies in the automotive industry".
After the turbulent recovery of the global automotive markets from the consequences of the financial crisis, the question now facing the industry is how manufacturers, suppliers and dealers can create stable and sustainable growth for their companies in the long term. It is clear from the offset that growth will only be achieved by those, who anticipate the future requirements of their customers and take these into account in their planning.
The topic "growth strategies in the automotive industry" will be further discussed by an expert panel. In this connection, the automotive manufacturers will be represented on the panel by Werner Eichhorn, Head of Sales Germany for Volkswagen, as well as Harald Schuff, Head of Mercedes-Benz Sales Organisation Germany (MBVD), while the dealers will be ably represented by the Managing Partner of the AVP Group, Franz-Xaver Hirtreiter and Burkhard Weller.
One of the most successful managers in the automotive sector in recent years, Dr. Stefan Wolf, Chairman of Elring Klinger AG Management Board, will start the afternoon session and provide us with his outlook with regard to the opportunities available to the automotive supplier industry. He will, in this connection, also go into detail on the prospects for the aftersales business.
The second panel of the event will examine the future requirements facing the automobile and automotive service sector. This panel will include Ms. Hildegard Wortmann, Head of Product Management at the BMW Group, Dr. Volker Borkowski, Managing Director of AVAG Holding in Augsburg, as well as the automotive savant and "father" of the smart, Professor Johann H. Tomforde.
The "Automotive Industry Day", which was initiated by Professor Willi Diez, is a forum for making contacts and exchanging information between the universities and the sector. The organisers are once again anticipating around 600 participants. Bearing this in mind and as there is a limit with regard to the space available, we recommend that those interested in participating in the congress register in good time.
